The first Sutherland Wide project the SACC team developed was the creation of a website dedicated to mental health and emotional wellbeing. The “Sutherland Wellbeing” website launched in March 2021 to connect Sutherland residents with services, resources and activities aimed at promoting good mental health and strengthening an individual’s emotional and physical wellbeing.
Does your community need a resilience plan?
Does your community have a resilience plan that is out of date?
In September 2020, the Kyle of Sutherland Locality Group realised there was a need to develop an up-to-date, holistic resilience plan for the Kyle of Sutherland area. The plan has been produced to prepare communities to respond to emergency events such as flooding, power outages and road closures. Since then, the group have had input from various agencies, local organisations and members of the community across the area.
In conjunction with this, the SACC team have developed a template to help community groups and organisations create community resilience plans.
