The Community Larder
Kyle of Sutherland Development Trust runs a Community Larder sharing food that has been donated to us by CFINE.
CFINE has also kindly donated us a new freezer so we are now able to distribute frozen food – including chicken, fish, beef and vegetables; as well as tinned and packaged goods such as soup, pasta, cereal and lentils.
The Community Larder is open to anyone in the community who can make use of it – there is no need to bring any kind of financial evidence, and you are welcome to collect for someone else too – perhaps a neighbour or relative… We just ask that you bring your own carrier bags.
If you are a keen gardener who happens to grow a surplus crop of vegetables, or if you have any tinned or packaged goods (within their use by date) that you don’t need – please get in touch if you would like us to share them for you – as the Community Larder also aims to reduce food waste and avoid items being sent to landfill.
Unfortunately, food collection will not be available outwith the stated times. Please get in touch if you need help with transport.
Our opening times are: Tuesdays from 10am – 2pm and Fridays from 10am – 2pm at:
The Barn, Drovers Square, Ardgay.
