Sutherland Community Partnership (SCP) formerly Sutherland Adaptive & Collaborative Communities (SACC)
Originally funded by the Aspiring Communities Fund from the Scottish Government and European Social Fund the SACC project aims to support those in Sutherland’s most deprived and fragile communities to develop and deliver long-term solutions that address local priorities and needs, increase active inclusion and build on the assets of local communities to reduce poverty and to enable inclusive growth.
The project is being led by KoSDT and the project team are working with the partners of the Sutherland Community Planning Partnership (SCP) to deliver the core outcomes. The project team will support the five priority localities to progress their Locality Plans by developing a minimum of five projects whilst also working across Sutherland to support recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic through addressing inequalities and priorities such as accessing mental health and wellbeing services.
The Helping Hands Fund
The Helping Hands Fund provides one off financial assistance for people living in Ardgay & District and Creich Community Council areas who are facing financial hardship. Grant Payments of up to £250 will be paid to households who require support with heating costs and purchase of energy efficient white goods. (One grant per household.)
