Coronavirus
Covid 19 has impacted on the Trust’s projects – as it has on all of society. As a result we have adapted our work and responded to try and support the community in the best way that we can. During the first lockdown we created a leaflet that was delivered to all residents to offer support to people who were shielding from our bank of local volunteers.

We also arranged for face masks to be delivered to every household in the Kyle of Sutherland, and organised for scrubs to made for frontline health workers.
As restrictions eased we have been able to reintroduce some of our social activities through the KALM project, but unfortunately some of our projects – such as the Community Food Stop have not been able to reopen.
Would you like a helping hand?
Kyle of Sutherland Development Trust has a pool of employees and local volunteers who would like to support you during this difficult time.
The volunteers could help you with the following:
- Picking up shopping/ prescriptions
- Posting mail
- Urgent Supplies
- Or perhaps just a friendly phone call to check in
If you are worried about a neighbour or someone else in the community who you think may be struggling – please don’t hesitate to contact the Trust and we will do our best to help out where we can.
